7TH BATT Partners with NAMA to Support US Naval Academy Summer Admissions Programs

Further strengthening bonds established during the 2022 Naval Academy Alumni Leadership Forum, 7TH BATT is proud to announce its partnership with the United States Naval Academy Minority Association (NAMA) to provide scholarship funding for high school students participating in the US Naval Academy’s Summer Seminar and STEM programs.

NAMA’s mission is to attract and recruit future minority leaders, retain them as midshipmen and help the graduation rate, as well as provide a career mentoring network. 7TH BATT is proud to support this mission as it's fundamental to the root of its existence, so it's with gratitude that 7TH BATT is able to help pay it forward by lifting up other potential Midshipman Candidates in underserved communities.

For students entering the 12th grade, USNA’s Summer Seminar is a one-week program designed to introduce aspiring students to Academy life. Participants experience first-class academic, athletic, and professional training while building lifelong friendships.

Summer STEM is a vibrant week of problem solving, exploratory learning, critical thinking, and team building for rising 9th-11th graders interested in a future in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

“NAMA is pleased to partner with 7TH BATT to further support promising Midshipmen Candidates” said RADM (Ret.) Julius S. Caesar ’77, NAMA President. The funds will be used to support USNA Summer Admissions programs.
